Sid and the Sparrows

Crummy weather
typical British summer
leaking sunroof in my car
that pours water all over me...
I have made adaptations
to the car seating area
drizzle, drizzle, drizzle
Dad's house has been cleared
Mum has still not fully settled into "the home"
Mum's medication has been reduced after a nasty fall
Have been re cluttering my flat with memories and stuff
Memory boxes to be looked at far into the future
have saved all the photos together
and the slides
for when things get a little fuzzy
and I have more time on my hands
The cats are giving me
lots of wet nose kisses
and keeping me on my toes
Suki has been nibbling them too
Affectionately
Have bought some butter muslin
for a new lining for the dress
new needles too
feel the need to mend things
repair them
put back together
as they once were

on an office i once frequented [in pursuit of a salary] the door was adorned with the following

"since we cannot hope for order, let us abandon chaos with dignity"

mending is more productive than retreating...
